QR codes encode URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards, and short text so phones can open them with a camera scan. Developers and marketers often need a private way to generate downloadable assets or verify what a code contains.

QR Code Studio generates codes locally from structured payloads (URL, Wi-Fi, email, SMS, phone, vCard, or plain text), lets you style foreground/background colors, and export PNG or SVG. The Scan tab decodes codes from an uploaded image or a live camera — without uploading content to stbox servers.

How to use this tool

  1. Open QR Code Studio at https://stbox.dev/qr.
  2. Use Generate to pick a payload type, fill the fields, adjust size/colors/error correction, then download PNG or SVG.
  3. Use Scan to upload an image or start the camera; copy the decoded payload or open links when detected.

Frequently asked questions

Is my URL, image, or camera feed uploaded?

No. Generation and scanning run entirely in your browser. Payloads, photos, and camera frames stay on your device.

Can I encode Wi-Fi or contact cards?

Yes. Choose Wi-Fi or Contact (vCard) under payload type. You can also paste any custom string with Plain text.

How do I scan an existing QR code?

Open the Scan tab, then upload an image or start the camera. Point at the code until it decodes; you can copy the result or open URL/email/phone links.
